RUSTON, La. | Victor Diaz scattered three hits over six innings, and Old Dominion snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over Louisiana Tech in Game 2 of a Conference USA baseball series on Saturday afternoon.
Diaz (5-3) struck out three and walked one, allowing only Chandler Hall’s solo home run to open the scoring for the Bulldogs (22-13, 9-8) in the third inning.
Kellam High grad Kurt Sinnen knotted it up for ODU (25-14, 8-9) with an RBI single in the sixth before Kyle Beam’s RBI single sparked the Monarchs’ three-run seventh, with Beam and Jason McMurray scoring on back-to-back singles by Grey Finwood (Maury) and Nick Walker (Kellam).
