NORFOLK, Va. - Sophomore Ajah Wayne was named C-USA Player of the Week Monday afternoon, as voted on by the league's 14 communications directors. Wayne scored a career-high 35 points in the Monarchs 89-77 win over Auburn on Nov. 14.
The Thursday evening win marked ODU's first win over a Power Five opponent since the 2014-15 season. Waynes performance also marked the first 30+ point game from a Monarch since March, 9, 2017. She also contributed to a program-record 14 single-game 3-pointers. The Alabama native also added 10 rebounds, four steals and on assist.
