NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion rowing team will be competing in a scrimmage against Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday morning, November 2, at 9:00 a.m. in Richmond, Virginia.
Initially, the team was supposed to take part in the Cooper Sprints in Cherry Hill, N.J., but the event was canceled, opening up the possibility to race in nearby Richmond.
The Monarchs will be racing two 8+ boats in the scrimmage against the Rams. The race will take place on the banks of the James River, at Rocketts Landing. This will be the last time the rowing program hits the water for an event in the fall season, with its next scheduled event, the Murphy Cup in Cherry Hill, N.
