Former Old Dominion sports information director Carol Hudson, who retired in 2015 after 31 years at his alma mater, was among the inaugural five members elected to the Hampton Roads Sports Media Hall of Fame on Thursday.
Also elected were Jim Ducibella, a former Virginian-Pilot sports writer best known for his coverage of the Washington Redskins; and WAVY-TV sports director Bruce Rader, who is in his 40th year at the station.
The class is rounded out by two former Daily Press sports writers: Mike Minium, a Norfolk native and graduate of Norview High School, who was a writer and editor before he died in 2001; and Jennifer Williams, a long-time sports and education writer.
