STILLWATER — Yukon High School softball coach Katy Hoke’s phone began to buzz on a chilly winter day. It was Millerette slugger Chyenne Factor.
“Hey Coach, can you come throw to me in the cage?” she asked, a request to which Hoke happily agreed.
More accurately, it was FORMER Millerette Chyenne Factor hoping to get in some extra swings. She was in the middle of her freshman year at Oklahoma State last December when she called Hoke.
Factor, who celebrated her 20th birthday Monday, had already been through the fall season with the Cowgirls, but she was back in Yukon between semesters, a time when a little relaxation is part of the plan.
