No. 20 OSU has three players returning after the team placed fifth in the Windy City Classic last season. Sophomore Maddie McCrary tied for eighth last season after shooting 2-over-par. She feels she has an advantage after seeing the course previously.
“I think I’m going to play really well this year,” McCrary said. “I’m going for a win this year.”
Westmoreland Country Club, established in 1911, is a traditional, tree-lined course, OSU coach Courtney Jones said.
The huge sloping greens are another traditional feature. Jones said the speed of the greens should be “similar to how Karsten Creeks play.
