Wildcat wranglers: Cowboy defense stifles K-State’s run game in home victory

Brock Martin spotted the football lying untouched on the Boone Pickens Stadium turf, inviting him to seize his opportunity.

Samuela Tuihalamaka, his Oklahoma State teammate, had just forced a Kansas State fumble.

“No one else was jumping on (the ball), really,” Martin said. “It was just kind of sitting there.”

He dove to scoop up the loose ball before anyone else could reach it, cutting the Wildcats’ offensive drive short on the second play.

The OSU football team’s defense flexed its muscles and suppressed the Wildcats’ run game in a 26-13 victory Saturday night in Stillwater.
