Famous redneck Mountaineer mascot, Troy Clemons, was arrested early Friday morning for driving under the influence. The Dominion Post has the details.
Mountaineer mascot Troy Clemons was arrested for DUI, according to court records.
The Monongalia County Sheriffs Department arrested him on Oct. 27. He was arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court and released on a personal recognizance bond.
Clemons was stopped for speeding, according to court records, and failed field sobriety tests. He subsequently blew a .126 BAC on a breathalyzer test. According to West Virginia laws, that’s just shy of an aggravated offense, putting this charge at the misdemeanor level.
