West Virginia defeated Oklahoma State 38-14 Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
OSU (3-3, 0-3 Big 12) is winless through three times for the first time since 2005 — head coach Mike Gundy's first season. The Mountaineers (3-2, 2-0 Big 12) have up a second straight win after a bye week.
Right away, the game looked like it wasn't going to go the Cowboys' way. WVU won the coin toss and confidently elected to receive the ball. Although that opening drive ended in a field goal, the Mountaineers' offensive confidence continued to show.
After WVU quarterback Garrett Greene left the game with an injury to what looked like his right (throwing) shoulder, backup quarterback Nicco Marchiol entered the game and capped off a drive with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Traylon Ray for a touchdown.
