1: Iowa State
After defeating in-state rival Iowa in its only game this week, Iowa State holds onto the one spot.
With Keshon Gilbert and Milan Momcilovich off to strong starts, Tamin Lipsey had taken somewhat of a backseat after a bad showing at the Maui Invitational. Since returning from Maui and recovering from an apparent injury, Lipsey is back to last season’s form. If Lipsey can perform as well as he did last season and Gilbert can continue to ascend, ISU could be a real contender for the national championship.
2: Kansas
Unfortunately for a lot of teams, we have reached the point of the schedule where all of the important nonconference games have been played.
