VIDEO: Former Cowboy Colin Simpson turning heads with bat, backflips in rookie league

Former Oklahoma State catcher Colin Simpson was the 29th-round pick of the Colorado Rockies in June's MLB Draft, and he's off to a hot start in his professional debut.

Simpson has 13 home runs and 34 runs batted in through his first 39 games in the rookie-ball Pioneer League, playing for the Grand Junction Rockies.

His bat, and his well-documented gymnastics background, have caught the eye of those around the Pioneer League, including a western Colorado TV station, which produced the feature below:
