It was another day at the beach for Viktor Hovland.
Hovland, who wore his orange polo to represent the Oklahoma State men’s golf team, shot 4-under-par 280 in the U.S. Open on Sunday at Pebble Beach.
He surpassed Jack Nicklaus’ mark to set a 72-hole U.S. Open amateur record. Nicklaus shot 282 in 1960. In celebration, OSU shared this video, which showcased a multitude of Hovy bobbleheads.
Shake your head if you just shot the lowest 72-hole score by an amateur in US Open history. #c2e #okstate pic.
