Former Oklahoma State point guard Stevie Clark sued the university, the Board of Regents and coach Travis Ford in September in Oklahoma County. Thursday, the defendants motioned to transfer the case to Payne County or dismiss it.
In September, Stevie Clark sued the parties for violation of due process, assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract, and negligence, according to a petition filed in Oklahoma County.
Thursday, the defendants motioned to transfer or dismiss Clark’s suit “due to improper venue,” according to court reports.
The defendants are trying to move the case to Payne County, according to court documents, claiming Payne County is the place of jurisdiction for the Board of Regents.
