Former Oklahoma State wrestler Jared Rosholt's time in the UFC ended Wednesday as the promotion released him, reports MMAFighting.com.
Rosholt, 29, posted a 6-2 record inside the octagon. He lost by unanimous decision to Roy Nelson at UFC Fight Night "Hendricks vs. Thompson" in February. The loss snapped a three-fight win streak for "The Big Show," who had beaten Stefan Struve, Timothy Johnson and Josh Copeland leading up to the fight.
Rosholt, a three-time NCAA All-American and 2010 NCAA national runner-up for the Cowboys, only finish in the UFC was a third-round TKO (punches) against Josh Copeland at UFC 185 in March 2015.
