Top-ranked 132-pound Daton Fix commits to Oklahoma State wrestling

Daton Fix is following in his father’s footsteps.

The top-ranked 132-pounder announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Wednesday at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Fix’s father, Derek, wrestled for OSU with the Cowboys current head coach John Smith. Daton Fix picked the Cowboys over Nebraska, North Carolina, Penn State and Ohio State.

Fix has won three Oklahoma 6A state titles with an unblemished 121-0 record heading into his senior season. He’s also an accomplished wrestler on the international stage, winning bronze at this year’s Junior World Championships along with bronze at the 2015 Cadet Worlds and silver at 2014 Youth Olympics, all in freestyle.
