Kevin Durant shined in the Thunder's season opener and his first game since Feb. 19, coming off injury.
It was also Billy Donovan’s first game as the Thunder coach. Donovan previously coached at the University of Florida. Oklahoma City has won seven consecutive home openers, dating back to 2009.
Durant recorded 22 points, and he was perfect from the free throw stripe, going eight-for-eight. Westbrook, who was the 2014-15 NBA scoring champion, finished with a double-double, scoring 33 points and dishing 10 assists.
It wasn’t only the starters who contributed to the final score; Enes Kanter and Dion Waiters had admirable games off the bench.
