Three takeaways from Cowboys’ loss to Dallas Baptist: early lead isn’t enough

The second-inning momentum didn’t last.

The Oklahoma State baseball team fell to Dallas Baptist 7-5 on Tuesday night in DBU’s Horner Ballpark. It was the Cowboys’ last game before they start Big 12 play Friday.

Despite the loss, OSU took a 5-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Carson McCusker, a junior left fielder, put the Cowboys on the scoreboard with a two-RBI double down the right-field line. Max Hewitt, Hueston Morrill and Bryce Carter added RBIs during the two-out rally.
