Jim Littell thinks the plus-minus is the most important stat in the game.
The stat tracks, for each player, the number of points gained or lost relative to the player’s opponent while the player is in the game. In OSU’s 73-54 victory against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles, Cowgirl point guard Ja’Mee Asberry was second in the game with a plus-minus of plus-21.
“(The plus-minus) is an important stat and I look at it a lot,” said Littell, the women’s basketball coach. “It’s probably the most crucial stat there is.”
Asberry led all scorers in the game with 19 points, but the plus-minus shows Asberry did more than just score.
