Jason McEndoo began his coaching career angry.
Nearly two decades later, after the job has moved McEndoo from his home state of Washington to Montana to Oklahoma, he believes it's what he truly always wanted to do. The disappointment at the end of his time as a player, which included a Pac-10 title as a Washington State offensive lineman and a three-year NFL career with the Seahawks and Saints, has faded.
McEndoo is nearing the start of his fourth season under Mike Gundy as Oklahoma State's coach of Cowboy backs, a tight end/fullback hybrid.
