Surprise of the game: OSU defense forces uncharacteristic Will Howard performance

The Big 12 saw a big shock at Boone Pickens Stadium Friday night.

The 3-1 reigning conference champion Kansas State Wildcats fell to OSU in a 29-21 upset.

Veteran K-State quarterback Will Howard came into the matchup not having thrown more than one interception in a game this season. Thanks to OSU freshman safety Cameron Epps, that took a jump.

Epps caught two of the three interceptions, while Nickolas Martin collected the third.

Adding to an uncharacteristic performance from Howard, the quarterback also broke out for a total of 104 rushing yards. Coming in with only 123 yards on the ground, Howard nearly outscored his season rushing numbers in one outing.
