Surprise of the game: Ollie Gordon II takes snaps at quarterback against TCU

Oklahoma State (3-7, 0-7 Big 12) fell to TCU 38-13, and the Cowboys have lost seven in a row.

On the offensive and defensive side of the ball, the game went about how previous weeks have gone for the Cowboys. TCU rushed for 6.3 yards per carry and threw for 293 yards, and OSU’s offense rushed for less than four yards per carry and had three turnovers. The lackluster defense and stagnant offense present in recent weeks have unfortunately become the Cowboys’ calling cards.

However, the game was not without its surprises. Backup quarterback Maealiuaki Smith came into the game with five and a half minutes remaining, but he was not the first person to line up behind the center instead of starting quarterback Alan Bowman.
