Before OSU's win against South Dakota State on Friday, No. 33 Luke Surber, the Cowboys' heavyweight, was on a three-match losing streak that included no takedowns. Things switched for Surber as he upset No. 22 A.J. Nevills with a 5-3 decision.
Surber notched a first period takedown, then a quick reversal to start the second period. He was also having success on top, accumulating 1:37 of riding time.
