Stevie Clark’s college basketball career is over. But it didn’t end until this week.
The former Douglass High School star, in some ways a forerunner to Trae Young, scored 22 points and dished out six assists Monday night in LSU-Shreveport’s 87-80 loss to Graceland (Iowa) in the NAIA national semifinals in Kansas City, Missouri.
The 5-foot-10 point guard averaged 21.5 points a game in his lone season at LSU-Shreveport.
Clark spent time at five colleges or universities. Not the kind of career most imagined after his phenomenal career at Douglass, where he led the Trojans to four straight Class 4A state championships, averaging 36.
