COMANCHE — Konner Doucet always aspired to be an elite high school wrestler.
“For as long I can remember, I wanted to be a four-time state champ,” he said.
Doucet, a senior at Comanche, can fulfill his goal this weekend at the state tournament. The 220-pounder will vie for his fourth-straight Class 3A state title, beginning Friday at State Fair Arena. Collinsville 132-pounder Caleb Tanner, an OU signee, will also try to join the exclusive club. Only 38 wrestlers in state history have won four high school titles.
Doucet holds a 44-0 record and hasn’t lost a match for Comanche since his sophomore season.
