In the Cowgirls worst performance of the year Maja Stark showed how effective she can be.
Stark won the event with a tournament score of 1-under par. She defeated Ashley Kim of Michigan in a playoff. Kim and Stark were the only individuals to shoot under par at the Miami Invitational.
Stark is the second Cowgirl to win low individual this season after Isabella Fierro won the Betsy Rawls Classic back in October. Stark and Fierro are the first pair of freshmen to win individual championships in program history.
Stark’s best score of the tournament came in Round 1 when she fired off a 5-under 67, she was the only Cowgirl under par.
