Oklahoma State fears that freshman linebacker linebacker Blake Barron suffered a torn ACL, and potentially more knee damage, during a practice this week, a source told Pistols Firing.
The injury occurred on Wednesday when the Rockwall, Texas product was filling the gap during a defensive sequence. A safety from behind incidentally came into contact with his knee, causing what doctors who examined him believe is a torn ACL. Barron will undergo a MRI on Friday morning and results are expected to be in the same day, the source said.
Dependent upon the results of the MRI, Barron could undergo surgery as early as next Thursday.
