Smith, in-state wrestlers energized for season's lone Bedlam dual

With only one shot at Bedlam, the Cowboys know they have to make the most of it.

Sunday will mark the 178th meeting between the Oklahoma State and Oklahoma wrestling teams when they face off at 12:30 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena. It’s a series that the Cowboys lead 140-27-10.

Historically, OSU and OU competed against each other twice every season. The Cowboys’ dominance has continued, and the Sooners decided to bail on the double-dual tradition.

This is the second year the teams are facing off once as opposed to twice. John Smith, OSU’s coach, said that his squad still has to take care of business with its one opportunity.
