When the Cowgirls trotted back onto the floor in Gallagher-Iba arena on Wednesday night after the halftime break in their game against Southern, all 14 OSU players knew their performance to that point left much to be desired.
“I think they knew we weren’t happy when we left the locker room,” coach Jim Littell said. “...It’s just not acceptable the way we played the first half and some of the things we did. Just a lack of toughness. We (the coaches) made them aware of it. “
The Cowgirls had struggled mightily in the first half.
