The Oklahoma State women’s basketball team’s lineup is considerably taller than Texas State’s.
The size advantage helped the Cowgirls defeat the Cougars 66-55 on Friday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
OSU’s roster features centers listed at 6-feet-3-inches and 6-feet-5-inches. TSU’s starting lineup consisted of four players under 5-feet-9-inches and a center just more than 6 feet tall.
Coach Jim Littell chose to switch from his usual starting lineup to a smaller one.
“We were fine playing small ball,” Littell said. “But we just weren’t really good with either lineup offensively, so we gotta figure some things out.
