Logan Simunek, a pitcher on the Oklahoma State softball team, saw most of last season as the No. 2 pitcher behind All-American Samantha Show.
On Wednesday against NAIA-affiliated the University of Arts and Sciences of Oklahoma, Simunek led the Cowgirls to an 8-3 victory in an error-filled affair.
Simunek started the game on the mound and was effective in her first start of the fall. She kept USAO off of the board for the first 3 innings, only giving up one hit, while striking out two.
“I came out pretty clean,” Simunek said. “I’ve had a concussion so I’ve just been going slow I guess this fall so I feel like I just came out and really attacked everybody.
