Vanessa Shippy is the third player in Big 12 history to win the Big 12 Player of the Year award twice.
Shippy, a senior, won the award Wednesday after a stellar final season in Stillwater. Shippy was named Big 12 Player of the Year after her sophomore season in 2016, as well. Before this season, Oklahoma's Amber Flores and Shelby Pendley were the only other players to have received the honor twice.
Shippy, a third baseman, finished the regular season with a .460 batting average, 69 hits, 26 RBIs, 54 walks and a .613 on base percentage in 55 games played.
