Shaquille O'Neal 'could never figure out' Big Country

TNT’s pregame show for the 76ers-Celtics on Tuesday night was more entertaining than usual, considering the A team of Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson had the night off.

The subject turned to gigantic Philadelphia center Boban Marjanovic, so Chris Webber took the opportunity to needle Shaquille O’Neal about the giant Gheorge Muresan, a 7-foot-7 center from back in the day.

Muresan played six NBA seasons, 1993-2000, and averaged 9.8 points a game. He never was a star, but he did start 207 of his 307 NBA games. Not bad.

And apparently Muresan and Shaq had a history.
