Homecoming weekend. OSU hasn’t lost one of these in quite a while. A 6-0 Baylor team comes to town as a mild underdog to an OSU squad that’s sitting right on the fence with “disastrous season” hanging out on one side and “building block for the future” hanging out on the other. Here are seven things to know about the Pokes and the Bears and a mid-season clash on what should be an awesome weekend.
1. All the streaks: The OSU-Baylor series has been a bizarre string of streaks.
- OSU won the first game in 1914 by 60
- Baylor won the next nine (OSU totaled 31 points)
- OSU won 17 of the next 20 including six in a row from 2006-11
- Baylor has won five of the last seven
This means absolutely nothing for this year’s title (obviously), but it struck me as I perused this week’s notes for interesting tidbits.
