During the season, OSU hadn't endured as much attendance at Gallagher-Iba Arena as head coach David Taylor hoped for.
In the first four home duals of the season, GIA — a venue with a capacity of 13,611 — hosted an average of 6,492 fans. Attendances like that are fantastic for many wrestling programs, but that's only decent at Oklahoma State.
A few days ago, Taylor told The O'Colly he hoped for big turnouts ahead of Monday's dual.
"As we move forward, we need your support."
That message was delivered with a boost in attendance, as a season-high 8,212 fans attended a top-five showdown as the No.
