Oklahoma State will lose veteran guard Phil Forte III after this season, and very well could lose sophomore star Jawun Evans to the NBA. DraftExpress.com has Jawun at no. 29 in their latest Mock Draft, placing him near the end of the first round.
It may not be the best year for Jawun to declare, with point guards such as Washington’s Markelle Fultz, N.C. State’s Dennis Smith, UCLA’s Lonzo Ball, Kentucky’s De’Aaron Fox, Xavier’s Edmond Sumner, and more expected to declare. However, if Jawun does leave, Brad Underwood landed a fine replacement last week in Amauri Hardy.
The four-star Detroit native playing for North Farmington High School committed to OSU last Friday, joining combo guard Zack Dawson and forward Latravian Glover from South Miami, along with Souleymane Diakite from Mali for the 2017 recruiting class.
