Amon Kehr/O'CollyMathieu Scaglia, a junior on the Oklahoma State men’s tennis team, finished in second place at the Louisiana John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic on Sunday.
Texas’ Leonardo Telles defeated him 6-4, 6-4 to win the tournament.
Scaglia faced three of the top-four seeds and finished with two tiebreakers in those matches.
He was not the only Cowboy to compete in the Cajun Classic. Sophomore Maxim Tybar fell 7-6, 6-3 in his consolation match against Lousiana State University’s Malik Bhatnagar.
