Class of 2020 defensive tackle Sawyer Goram-Welch made his flip from Oklahoma State to Texas official on Sunday. The three-star Longview, Texas product, on the heels of a Dec. 7 decommitment from Oklahoma State, waited a week before announcing what many in the industry expected: he’ll play for the Texas Longhorns.
Goram-Welch had been committed to OSU since October until a Dec. 2 offer from the in-state Longhorns threw a wrench into the situation. Making matters for OSU more difficult to swallow, Goram-Welch announced he will enroll early. Given the state of Oklahoma State’s defensive tackle position, OSU certainly could have used him early.
