Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy had a simple answer when asked about the quarterback situation heading into the team’s final contest of the season.
“We’ll play both guys,” Gundy said.
Senior transfer Dru Brown took over the Cowboys’ starting job after Spencer Sanders injured his thumb against Kansas. Brown was solid in Sanders’ stead, going 1-1 as the starter and throwing for an average of just over 200 yards per game.
But the time off in between the regular season and the Texas Bowl has given Sanders enough time to get healthy. He had his cast removed from his hand earlier in the week and has returned to practice.
