LUBBOCK, Texas — Oklahoma State has still yet to solve its pitching woes, but its bats made sure that issue was inapplicable Friday.
The Cowboys defeated No. 5 Texas Tech 12-10 in a high-scoring game in Lubbock, Texas on Friday night.
OSU catcher Colin Simpson had three hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs. He also reached base a fourth time after he was hit by a pitch.
The Cowboys pitching staff has allowed six or more runs in six of the past seven games, but the bats provided run support Friday that was absent during the final two games of last week's series loss at Kansas.
