According to numerous reports, sophomore quarterback Mason Rudolph underwent surgery on his right foot in Oklahoma City on Monday. Rudolph inured his foot against Baylor in the Cowboys' 45-35 loss on November 21st.
Rudolph, who had started 13 consecutive games before Bedlam last Saturday, is questionable for the Cowboys bowl game. If Rudolph is in fact done for the year, senior quarterback J.W. Walsh would start in his final game as a Cowboy; it would be a fitting way to see Walsh off. The fifth year senior, who has been supportive of his sophomore counterpart, went 25 of 42 for 325 yards in last week’s loss.
