STILLWATER — When Robin Ventura visits Oklahoma State's campus, he senses the passage of time. So much is different in the town where he became a national spectacle.
The ballpark he accomplished many of his feats stands in his mind as the lone landmark with little change over the 30 years since he completed his Cowboy baseball career. Ventura's No. 21 is memorialized on Allie P. Reynolds Stadium's outfield wall. Monday, his name will be immortalized in the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.
“It's humbling for me,” Ventura said. “There's people who have a whole career of doing things in Oklahoma.
