The Oklahoman is reporting that a source has told them punter Zach Sinor underwent surgery this morning to repair a hernia.
According to The Oklahoman’s report, Sinor posted a message on Instagram saying “surgery went well! Thanks everyone for the support.” The Oklahoman’s report also states that any injury reports directly from the program would come from Mike Gundy and news broke after he talked to the media following Tuesday’s practice.
Sinor started in all of Oklahoma’s State’s games last year averaging 41.3 yards per punt on 38 attempts.
Matt Hockett is next on the depth chart to take the place of Sinor.
