Oklahoma State basketball head coach Mike Boynton has finished his coaching staff with the hiring of James Madison assistant coach David Kontaxis.
That’s according to Tulsa World reporter Mark Cooper.
Kontaxis spent the last season as an assistant coach at James Madison in the Colonial Athletic Conference.
While there, Kontaxis and another assistant were suspended two games for violating athletics department policy, though it was reportedly not related to any legal troubles or NCAA violations.
Before his year at James Madison, Kontaxis spent seven years working Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) organizations in North Carolina, Virginia and Washington.
