Report: 2016 Oklahoma State signee Vaimoe Sekona expected to enroll at junior college

2016 Oklahoma State signee Vaiome Sekona — an offensive lineman from Crespi High School (Encino, Calif.) — will not play for the Cowboys next season and will instead enroll at Tyler Junior College (Texas), according to GoPokes.com.

Sekona, who pledged to OSU in late October, is listed in the OSU fall media guide but failed to meet NCAA qualifying numbers. The Cowboys now have 17 offensive linemen on their roster.

Sekona — 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds — played offensive and defensive line at Crespi. He was a Rivals-rated three-star prospect with nine scholarship offers, including UCLA, USC, Texas Tech and others.
