Oklahoma State and Josh Holliday haven’t shied away from scheduling programs with championship pedigrees to test themselves in nonconference games.
In the last two seasons, the Cowboys played, or were scheduled to play, Oregon State, the 2018 College World Series champions.
This season, the Cowboys are scheduled to battle Vanderbilt in a weekend series on March 12-14, but that isn’t all. Coach Josh Holliday told The O’Colly the Cowboys will return the travelling favor and open the 2022 season at Vanderbilt.
“We knew we wanted Vanderbilt to come here when we knew the new facility was going to be a reality,” Holliday said.
