In the 1910s, OSU had three games of 100+ points.
That’s an exciting stat, but apart from the fact that OSU beat Phillips 134-0 in 1914, Southwestern 117-0 in 1916 and Phillips 112-3 in 1913, I can’t tell you a whole lot about those games.
So, for this Record Book Look, we’ll look at OSU’s five highest-scoring games of the modern era (since 1945).
1. Savannah State on Sept. 1, 2012 — 84
It looked as if the Cowboys didn’t lose a stride from their Fiesta Bowl-winning squad in 2011 when 2012 started.
Not only did the Pokes score 84 points in this game, they also held Savannah State to a fat zero.
