Roughly 18 hours or so after claiming the victory in the series opener, Oklahoma State dropped the second game of the series with Texas Tech 8-2.
Cowboy starter Tyler Buffett had one rough inning, but that was enough to doom the Cowboys today.
Buffet pitched 6.0 innings, giving up seven runs (five earned) on 12 hits. Buffett had two wild pitches, hit three batters, but didn’t walk a man and struck out two Red Raiders.
It was Michael Neustifter for the Cowboys who opened up the scoring, hitting a solo home run in the top of the third inning to take the 1-0 lead.
