Ranking the Pac-12 non-conference schedules: Stanford is No. 1

I like to save the Pac-12 for last in my annual rankings of non-conference schedules. Restores my faith in humanity.

Not every Pac-12 school schedules with heart and confidence. Some wuss out. And heck, the Pac-12’s middle schedules just like every other league’s middle. Just OK.

But get to the top, and Lord have mercy. What a monument to quality scheduling. You’d have thought the NFL was scheduling these games.

Let’s get to the Pac-12 rankings:

1. Stanford: Northwestern, at Central Florida, Notre Dame. What a schedule. Nine Pac-12 games, then a threesome in which your easiest game is against Northwestern.
