As Mike Gundy strolled into the Boone Pickens Stadium on Monday for his press conference, two unexpected visitors tagged along.
Kenzie and Ginger – both dogs the Gundy's adopted – meandered through the room, garnering attention. For a moment, they were the center of attention, but shortly after, it was all business.
OSU (7-3, 5-2 Big 12) is coming off a 45-3 road loss, and Gundy didn’t shy away from it.
“They coached better than we did,” he said. “Their concepts were better than what ours were.”
Last season, after OSU’s 48-0 blowout loss to Kansas State, Gundy said the same thing, and the Cowboys sputtered to a 1-4 finish after a promising 6-1 start.
