Preston Stout wins individual Big 12 title, Oklahoma State men's golf wins conference too

It has been 35 years since an Oklahoma State men's golfer won back-to-back conference championships.

But that changed Thursday.

Cowboy Preston Stout is on top of the Big 12 Conference after winning the Big 12 Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. He became the first Cowboy golfer since Kevin Wentworth won back-to-back in the Big 8 Conference in 1989-1990. Stout won the tournament 3-under, scoring 70 in his first three rounds and 67 in the final round to claim the victory.

Not only did Stout win as an individual, but OSU its third Big 12 title in six seasons with a score of 2-under, while second-place Arizona State shot 9-over.
